Education
For Elkhorn Ridge residents, there are plenty of excellent schools and education opportunities in the area.
Spearfish School District and Lead/Deadwood School District both provide K-12 education. For higher education needs, Black Hills State University in Spearfish and the School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City are four-year, nationally accredited colleges. Rapid City is also home to Western Dakota Tech and National American University.
The Career Learning Center provides community education classes each winter and spring for Black Hills residents as well.
